PIA-7 announces the opening of two vacant posts

Cebu City (13 September 2011) – The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) - 7 announces the opening of two vacant positions namely Information Officer 1 and Information Officer 

Eligible to apply for the IO-IV position which has a salary grade of SG-22 should meet the following qualification standards:

• Education: chelor’s degree in Mass Communications or related discipline
• Experience: Three (3) years of relevant experience (press/public relations work and media coverages of national and local events)
• Training: 16 hours of relevant training
• Special Skills: Proficient writer of news and feature articles and releases for print, radio and television; proficient in the formulation of communication plans and advocacy campaigns on government development programs; proficient in MS word, excel, powerpoint presentation applications; willing to be assigned at the regional office.

For the post of IO-1 with a salary grade of SG-11, interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications or related discipline
• Experience: None required
• Training: None required
• Special Skills: A good writer of press and broadcast releases and features; can do liaison work and media coverages; has basic knowledge in photojournalism; proficient in basic computer applications.

For both positions, Civil Service Professional Eligibility is required.
